About the Role: Kindness is at the core of everything you do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help residents with dignity, independence and personalised care, while supporting their families and working with a caring team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
* Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; influence the rest of the team.
* Support residents in daily activities, e.g., assisting with meals or mobility aids, and communicate with families as needed.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
* Administer medication as required and maintain accurate records of your work.
* Build strong relationships with the team and ensure effective record keeping and time management.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and working towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centered care planning; knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Essential: positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, and effective time management.
* When communicating with residents or colleagues, be considerate and kind.
