Overview
Permanent, full-time position (36.5 hours per week) for Practice Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead in the Birmingham City Council directorate. The role is hybrid with work from Birmingham City Council buildings as business needs dictate.
Salary and Grade
Grade 6 - £52,413 - £64,811. Consultation grade, subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.

Birmingham City Council’s Children and Families Directorate is expanding the Strategy, Governance and Planning service to strengthen internal expertise and capacity. The team focuses on collaborative, strength-based, relationship-centred decision making and service design to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in Birmingham. About the Role
You will be a key member of the Strategy, Governance and Planning team, leading the design and delivery of quality assurance and compliance systems and monitoring tools. With a small team, you will also lead on the Directorate’s internal and external profile, enabling improved service quality and compliance across fundamental functions. You will drive interagency collaboration to transform multi-agency approaches to quality assurance and ensure triangulation of insight to inform decision making and service design.

Requirements and Responsibilities (summary)
* Lead the design and delivery of QA and compliance systems and monitoring tools.
* Collaborate across partnerships to improve multi-agency quality assurance and interagency relations.
* Triangulate insights to inform decision-making and service design.
* Manage resources and operate within financial priorities to deliver value for money.
* Support internal and external communication and public-facing profile of the Directorate.
Essential Information
Interviews will be conducted virtually via video conferencing. DBS check will be undertaken. Proof of Right to Work in the UK is required before any employment offer.
