An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Device Coordinator within Hywel Dda University Health Board. The successful candidate would carry the responsibility for the departments accreditation to ISO 13485 and act as the Medical Device Safety Officer (MDSO) for Hywel Dda.
The successful candidates will be responsible for coordinating the medical device replacement projects via capital replacement and manage the configurations for applicable medical devices within the health board. Please view the job description for more details. The role would also involve ownership of specific projects that relate to medical devices. These may develop over time based on the successful applicant's skills and experiences and the needs of the department.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Engineering, the successful candidate would support the management and oversight for the lifecycle of the medical devices (circa 30,000 devices across the Health Board).
You will lead on the Quality Management System and Medical Device Safety, working with the wider Clinical Engineering teams across the 4 Acute sites within the Health Board, you would be responsible for ensuring that the policies and procedures that support our compliance and performance of medical devices are effective, to ensure we can provide the best quality of service we can for our patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
