Position Overview
We are recruiting Senior Social Workers for the Child Protection & Court teams. The role involves working closely with Assessment & Intervention Teams, managing caseloads, producing court reports, statements, care plans and assessments, and representing the Trust in court.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Assessment & Intervention Teams and respond promptly to acute child needs and risks.
* Plan and organise work to meet timescales set by the Trust and the Court.
* Produce court reports, statements, care plans and assessments, and provide evidence to the Court.
* Represent the Trust in court proceedings.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
* Completed ASYE programme.
* Minimum 2 years post‑qualifying experience in a Children & Families setting.
* Experience working in a children and families setting.
* Knowledge of minimum standards and ability to promote change in family life.
* Analytical skills to assess information and make informed decisions.
* Knowledge of child development.
* Experience with s47 child protection investigations or s17 child in need single assessments.
* Ability to build relationships with children and families and develop plans for change.
* Commitment to centring the child’s voice and using assessment tools to capture it.
Pay & Relocation
* £45,339 – £50,726 per annum (inclusive of market supplement).
* Relocation allowance up to £6,500.
* Retention bonus up to £10,000 over three years.
Additional Information
Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required. Application will include pre‑employment checks in line with the Department for Education KCSIE Guidance 2022.
