We are seeking a Senior Civil & Geotechnical Engineer to join a high-performing Civils South West team delivering essential geotechnical and drainage works within the Network Rail CP7 framework. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will bridge the gap between design and physical delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and technical excellence on every project.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Construction Responsible Engineer (CRE): Take accountability for technical assurance, formally signing off designs, and ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards.
* Engineering Leadership: Manage the entire engineering process, from interpreting designs to successful site delivery across multiple sites between Gloucester and Glastonbury.
* Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a site-based team, including Graduate Engineers and Apprentices.
* Technical Problem Solver: Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries (RFIs, NCRs) and material acceptance (MARS).
* Safety & Compliance: Prepare, approve, and implement essential safety documentation (WPPs, CPPs, Task Briefs) and conduct site health & safety inspections.
Your Expertise:
* Proven experience in the Rail sector, ideally with familiarity with Network Rail processes.
* Strong Civil Engineering background with a demonstrable focus on Geotechnical and Drainage works.
* Experience in successfully managing and integrating subcontractors.
* A Civil Engineering degree is essential (Master's preferred).
* Current CSCS card.
Bonus Points: Existing CRE experience, Membership of ICE, and working towards Chartership.
