About Our School
Nestled on the outskirts of Maidenhead, our school is a nurturing haven for up to 100 pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Supporting the class team in creating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
* Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, while collaborating with other staff to meet individual needs.
* Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
* Building positive relationships with pupils to foster interaction and drive successful learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
* Previous successful teaching experience.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
* Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
