Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory control, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling, with a focus on process improvement and safety compliance. This role is vital in maintaining smooth warehouse functions, supporting e-commerce fulfillment, and coordinating shipping and receiving activities.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
* Manage inventory control processes using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
* Oversee warehouse distribution operations to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
* Lead and manage warehouse staff, promoting safety, productivity, and team development.
* Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
* Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts.
* Support heavy lifting operations and mechanical troubleshooting as needed for materials handling equipment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics or distribution environment.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution processes.
* Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (Experience using MintSoft is a plus)
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a safe working environment.
* Experience working within e-commerce fulfillment centres or 3PL operations is preferred.
* Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse supervision.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process improvement initiatives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
