Agricultural Service Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £16 - £20 per hour (Dependent on experience)
About the Role:
My client is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Agricultural Service Engineer to join their service team. As an Agricultural Engineer you will be responsible for the maintenance, service, and repair of a wide range of modern agricultural machinery to manufacturer standards, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service and maximising equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural machinery to manufacturer specifications
* Accurately diagnose faults across electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems, and carry out repairs efficiently
* Use laptop-based diagnostic tools (training provided)
* Complete detailed job reports, supported with photographs and accurate time logs
* Identify machine defects and proactively upsell relevant services or parts
* Understand and work with GPS systems, telematics, and machine control technology
* Inspect and prepare machinery returning from demos to ensure they are complete and undamaged
* Support with operational issues in collaboration with the service team
* Assist with equipment preparation for open days, shows, and demo events
* Attend manufacturer and in-house training courses as required
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Experience working on agricultural, construction, or commercial machinery
* Relevant qualification in Land-Based Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Able to manage time effectively and work to deadlines without compromising on safety
* Flexible, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
* Calm under pressure and enjoys a busy, hands-on environment
