Our team is expanding in response to the increased number of looked after children.
The Children in Care Health Team is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated individual to play a key role in delivering and developing a service that promotes and ensures high-quality specialist healthcare for CYP in Care.
This diverse health role involves working closely with CYP, their carers, other health professionals, and multi-agency workers. You will also work at the interface between health, local authorities, and partner agencies to advance the national and local corporate parenting agenda for the health of children in care.
Are you an experienced community practitioner, such as a Health Visitor or School Nurse with a specialist practitioner qualification, with good experience working with Children and Young People in the community at Band 6 or above?
Do you have experience in designing and delivering training and supervising colleagues?
Are you interested in developing your career? Are you committed to improving services that promote the health of children and young people in care? Do you possess excellent communication skills, and are you approachable, reliable, and well-organized? Are you willing to adopt a flexible approach to supporting young people, their carers, and families?
If so, we would like to hear from you.
As part of the Corporate parenting partnership, you will oversee a caseload of children in care, identify unmet health needs, and work within the team to address these needs.
