SEND Administrator
Location: Bridgwater College Academy
Salary: Band 4 – Actual starting salary: £19,159.23 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 32.5 hours per week, term time plus INSET days (39 weeks per year)
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated administrator to join our inclusive Trust, working within our SEND teams to support children and young people in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who shares our core value that ‘Every Child Achieves’.
The Polden Centre is a vibrant and creative specialist ASC provision based at Bridgwater College Academy. Our aim is to prepare and enable students to thrive in mainstream education and beyond. As part of our planned expansion, we are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible administrator to become part of our dedicated team.
While this role will be primarily based within the ASC provision, you will also provide administrative support to the wider Trust Inclusion Team as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate meetings, annual reviews, and statutory documentation for SEND students
* Liaise effectively with families, schools, external agencies, and local authorities
* Provide professional minute-taking and diary management support
* Maintain accurate student records and tracking data using the Arbor system
* Support the organisation of Open Evenings, tours, and transition events
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements
This is a vital role for someone who is well‑organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting students with additional needs.
About You
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach, working effectively as part of a team
* Be positive, inclusive, and understand the importance of confidentiality
* Be self‑motivated and able to use initiative
* Be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders in person, by phone, and via email
Desirable:
* Previous administrative experience within a school or SEND environment
* Familiarity with SEND systems and statutory processes
Essential:
* Ability to travel between academies within the Trust when required
