Key Account Manager

An established independent FMCG wholesaler is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Field-Based Key Account Manager to cover the BH & RH postcode regions.

This is a dual-role opportunity combining new business development (hunter mentality) with strategic account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing market share within their territory by developing new accounts while maximising revenue from an existing customer base.


You will operate autonomously in your region, organising your diary to identify opportunities, convert prospects, and build long-term commercial partnerships across the on-trade sector.


The Role

* Develop and win new business across your territory
* Grow, retain and maximise existing customer accounts
* Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts
* Identify customer needs and promote relevant product solutions
* Negotiate commercial agreements and prepare proposals
* Monitor local market trends and competitor activity
* Work closely with brand partners and internal stakeholders
* Maintain accurate reporting and attend weekly sales meetings
* Manage your territory strategically to maximise opportunity


This is a field-based role with occasional visits to Head Office.


About the Business

Our client is an independent drinks wholesaler supplying a wide portfolio of alcoholic and soft drinks to pubs, bars, restaurants and hospitality venues.

Operating since 2010, they have built a strong reputation for service, reliability and product range, delivering up to seven days per week across their core regions. Their offering includes beer, wine, spirits, cider, RTDs, mixers and soft drinks sourced internationally.

They are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with a driven, territory-focused sales professional.


Person Specification

* Proven field sales experience (ideally within the drinks / on-trade sector)
* FMCG experience also preferred
* Strong new business development capability
* Confident negotiator with commercial awareness
* Strategic thinker with excellent organisation skills
* Relationship-focused and self-motivated
* Strong Microsoft Office capability
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
