Roles that require PVG Membership
Starting 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above: currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour). The Council will pay the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first full month's salary payment.
Job Purpose / About The Role
To manage, supervise and develop school financial and administrative support services in accordance with corporate and school procedures.
Qualifications
The Post Holder needs to hold a minimum Standard Grade/National 4 (or equivalent qualification) in English and Mathematics, or have experience of financial and administrative processes in an office environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising a busy office
* Experience of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
* High level of competency in IT
* Good financial literacy
* Management, monitoring and operating financial systems
* Being responsible for the safekeeping, accuracy and appropriate processing of a variety of information, which is often of a sensitive and multi-agency nature
* Reception duties
