We are seeking a talented and passionate Sommelier for our Michelin starred restaurant offering modern fine dining combined with a high level of personable, professional service. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your deep knowledge of wines and beverage pairings and working with an exceptional wine list. Your expertise will elevate the guest experience, guiding diners through our wine offerings with insight and enthusiasm. Working closely with the culinary team you will be involved in crafting thoughtful pairings that highlight and complement our innovative cuisine.
The restaurant currently operates a four-day working week and will be delighted for a career driven Sommelier to join our passionate Front of House Team.
The Artichoke is set in the beautiful Old Town of Amersham and features award winning, innovative cuisine. The contemporary interior revolves around a refurbished state of the art induction Open Kitchen and a Private Dining room with its own wine cellar. Awards also include Three AA Rosettes, AA Restaurant of the Year England 2013/14, and Best New Entry The Good Food Guide 2010.

The successful Sommelier candidate should have the following qualities:
* A strong interest and knowledge of wines
* Proven previous experience in a similar high level of restaurant service
* WSET Wine qualification 2 + and above
* Wine celler management skills and stock taking
* Experience of ordering, financial control of stock, wine costings and managing GP’s
* Curate and manage an exceptional wine program, including inventory, pairings, and tastings.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to craft a harmonious dining experience.
* Well presented with personality, charisma and excellent communication skills
* You should have a passion for fine food, wine and delivering outstanding customer service.
* Highly motivated to be a part of an existing professional and driven team
The successful Sommelier must be living and be eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions.
