Job Opportunity: Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Shared between Bourne & Spalding Surgeries
Hours: 30 hours per week (includes Fridays and shared Saturday morning rota – 1 in 8)

Our reception team is the heartbeat of our veterinary practice — without them, we simply wouldn’t function. We’re looking for a special person to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist to help keep everything running smoothly across our Bourne and Spalding surgeries.
What we’re looking for
While previous veterinary experience is desirable, what really matters is a strong background in customer service and a passion for helping people and their pets. Flexibility is key, as you’ll need to cover holiday and sickness when necessary.
Key responsibilities
* Greeting clients and catering to their needs
* Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally
* Dispensing medications accurately
* Handling general administrative tasks
* Cleaning and restocking reception, consultation rooms, and waiting areas
* Managing stock control
* Assisting vets and nurses as needed

About Alder Vets
We have two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. We are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London. Both practices are equipped with digital radiography (recently purchased and upgraded to DR system), ultrasounds, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. We also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for our varied first opinion cases. Our Spalding branch has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish and our Bourne branch is next on the list!
