Role Summary
As a QA Auditor, you will work within a team to ensure compliance with quality standards, support operational teams, and promote quality and technical standards aligned with customer and business requirements.
This is a day shift role with some weekend work as per rota. We welcome candidates from quality, technical, or operational backgrounds in food manufacturing who are detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive. Full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
1. Audit compliance against Quality Management Systems, GMP, and HACCP controls, documenting non-conformances with evidence.
2. Communicate effectively with operational teams to implement corrective actions and monitor their completion.
3. Identify areas for process improvement and support traceability audits.
4. Collect samples (micro, nutritional, swab, organoleptic) and manage testing schedules.
5. Facilitate taste panels and record results accurately.
6. Calibrate measurement equipment as scheduled.
7. Assist in investigations related to specifications, complaints, and incidents.
8. Support NPD trials and product launches, including micro testing and product assessments.
9. Provide technical support during customer visits or audits.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards.
Candidate Profile
Ideally, you will have experience in a food quality or technical role, with knowledge of food safety standards and improvement projects. Excellent communication, proactive problem-solving, and a diligent approach are essential. Enthusiasm and a desire to develop within quality assurance are highly valued.
