We are partnering with the Benalu LeGras Group to find their Area Manager to cover the North of the UK. Benalu LeGras Group is a European leader in the design and manufacture of industrial semi-trailers.
We are looking for a high-achieving, driven, and passionate candidate to join a European leader in semi-trailers. The company has been operating in the UK for many years, and its products are well known for their technical design excellence, their innovation, and their outstanding quality. All products are manufactured in Europe, predominantly in France.
As their Area Manager, you will promote and sell Benalu LeGras’ range of aluminum and steel tippers, moving floor trailers, and tankers (brand Maisonneuve) in the North of England and Scotland.
You will report directly to the Business Unit Director for Northern and Western Europe, based in France.
Key responsibilities:
· Your main duty will be to prospect and convert new leads within your territory. This is a business development role focused on expanding the company's market presence and identifying new business opportunities.
· Promoting and selling Benalu LeGras' range of semi-trailer products, walking floor trailers, aluminum & steel tippers, and tankers in your defined territory.
· Qualifying, defining, and understanding your clients' technical needs and specifications.
· From prospecting to closing deals, you will oversee the entire sales cycle, which includes cold-calls, field prospection, face-to-face client meetings, and roadshows, understanding technical specifications, and processing final quotes with the admin sales team in France.
· Account management: You are the first point of contact for both existing and new clients, and your role is to be the face of Benalu LeGras. You will also manage new orders, provide service assistance in cooperation with the service manager, spare parts network, and support team in the French HQ.
· Working on special projects with the design and management team in France
· Implementing marketing action plan.
· Keeping up to date on industry trends and competition
· Sharing any relevant information with the team
· Attending trade shows or other relevant events when requested
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the commercial vehicle industry (such as trailers, specialised trailers, agricultural machinery, fleet engineering, fleet management with sales abilities, components supply, or commercial vehicles)
· Technical expertise in one or several of the following sectors is a plus:
waste management, recycling, transportation, and logistics
· Strong self-motivation with a proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams
· The position is a “field job” and as such requires availability for frequent travels across the territory assigned and sometimes over to Europe when needed
· Fluent English proficiency
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
On offer is an excellent salary package including a car allowance and a commission structure.
