Subway in SPAR Duty Manager, Gainsborough.
Pay: up to £13.25 p/h (depending on age).
Shift times: 07:30-15:30 or 12:30-20:30.
We are looking to appoint a Duty Manager (Subway at SPAR) to work in our fresh food operation. As a member of the Store Manager’s leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in leading and motivating a team of colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to achieving store sales and profitability through our core initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Preparing all sandwich ingredients, including cooking breakfast and lunch items, baking cookies/bread, and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping and grating ingredients in accordance with established guidelines.
* Supporting the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal and high-performing store, whilst taking overall responsibility for the Subway brand and regulations in store.
* Assisting the SPAR Store Manager to deliver all store operations, objectives and KPI's.
* Managing, coaching and supporting colleagues, assisting in developing a motivated and empowered team through a positive, engaging management style.
* Carrying out performance management and absence management as appropriate.
* Responsible for opening/closing of the department, colleague safety and stock/cash security/accountability during shifts.
* Carrying out cash reconciliations, voids and refunds and other “management” tasks for till colleagues.
* Being a role model and leading the team to work together to provide an exceptional customer experience.
* Working with colleagues to promote the store by identifying and actioning opportunities to engage with and support the local community.
* Adhering to all company policies, procedures and processes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of working for Subway preferred.
* Previous management or supervisory experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation.
* Committed to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards in our Yaxley SPAR store.
* Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
* Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
* Able to take appropriate action and make decisions.
* Committed to promoting collaborative working.
