Healthcare Assistant
This role involves visiting people in their own homes, helping them to continue living independently or supporting them at end of life. The level and amount of care can vary depending on the client’s needs. The service supports clients during the day and, in some cases, at night.
Duties
* Administering medication
* Preparing and making meals
* Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, hair, mouth and skin care, and eating and drinking
* Escort clients to activities or medical appointments
* Engaging in conversation and providing care updates to relatives
* Providing companionship
* Helping with household tasks such as laundry
* Assisting with paperwork such as paying bills
* Shopping and supporting community services
Requirements
* Full driving licence and access to a car
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) required
* Work experience is valuable
* Mandatory training provided – you’ll complete a Care Certificate and ongoing allocated training

* Salary: £9.00‑£11.00 per hour
* Schedule:
o Day shift – Monday to Friday
o Night shift – weekend availability
