Quantity Surveyor – Water / Utilities
Contract | Outside IR35 | Kent
We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for an Outside IR35 contract supporting South East Water engineering projects across Kent. This role suits a commercially focused QS with strong experience in utilities and high-volume works, delivering tight cost control within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Weekly cost and revenue reporting
* Control of daily completed works submissions
* Preparation and management of Schedules of Rates
* Subcontractor cost reconciliation and payment certificates
* Liaison with Operations and Planning on progress and scope changes
* Commercial review of schemes against targets
* Pricing high-volume, low-value works
* Supporting WIP reviews
* Weekly and monthly cost analysis
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in water, utilities, civil or mechanical engineering
* Strong background in high-volume, low-value frameworks
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Excellent Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
* Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
* Desirable: Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
