About the Role As a Retail Assistant, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality food and retail services across the hospital. From serving hot meals and drinks to keeping the café and retail areas spotless and well-stocked, your work will make a real difference to everyone’s day. Your main duties will include: Serving food and beverages at the counter while maintaining portion control and excellent customer care. Monitoring and recording food temperatures. Restocking shelves and displays using stock rotation methods. Supporting stocktaking and ordering processes. Preparing and delivering hospitality functions to a high standard. Operating tills and handling cash securely. Clearing tables, washing up, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Following cleaning schedules and using cleaning materials safely in line with COSHH regulations. Supporting new team members through the “buddy” induction programme. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is: Experienced in catering and/or retail environments Friendly, approachable, and a great communicator A team player who takes pride in their work and personal presentation Aware of health and safety, infection control, and hygiene standard Willing to learn, train, and grow within Sodexo Desirable but not essential: Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service What You’ll Get
