Description
To provide a Test Laboratory service to Oil States developed products and to provide an independent commercial service to the global offshore oil and gas service industry. Mechanical testing of engineering structures and tubular components.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for testing Oil States development and existing products from concept through to production.
2. Testing commercial products to client and in-house specifications.
3. Help with Preparation and compilation of trials and test procedures, technical data analysis and final reports as required.
4. Assembly of full-scale test rigs, conducting tests and monitoring of data p.c. equipment during tests.
5. Compile Daily Log sheets of testing activities conducted.
6. Application of strain monitoring instrumentation, calibrations, installations, and P.C. monitoring of data acquisition systems.
7. UKAS – Work to standards set out in ISO 17025 to ensure ongoing accreditation.
Qualifications/Experience
8. ONC/HNC in mechanical engineering preferred, but consideration will be given to applicants with hands on mechanical experience.
