Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a high-achieving boys' secondary academy in Trafford to appoint a qualified Drama Teacher for a full-time role starting April 2026 through to May Half Term 2026 initially.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trained Drama specialist who is passionate about delivering a rigorous, curriculum-led Drama education within a structured and high-performing school environment.
The Role
You will:
Deliver engaging, well-planned Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach a knowledge-rich and performance-based curriculum
Maintain high standards of classroom practice and behaviour
Contribute to the wider cultural life of the department and school
Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity and critical thinking through DramaThis post would suit experienced teachers and ECTs who have completed a recognised teacher training programme in Drama.

To be considered, applicants must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
A recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, School Direct, SCITT)
Recent experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school (KS3 and KS4)
A strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and behaviour management
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UKPlease note: This role requires a fully qualified classroom teacher with UK secondary school teaching experience. Applications from individuals with acting or performance backgrounds without formal teaching qualifications and secondary classroom experience will not be considered.
