We are seeking a reliable Waste Manager to lead our Environmental Recycling Unit (ERU). Lead the implementation of the Permitting within the waste processing site in Birmingham and aid and support the implementation of companywide waste management You will lead and facilitate a team of Recycling Operatives providing the full range of activities associated with the safe processing and disposal of fire extinguishers waste electronic equipment and other recyclable materials Train selected Recycling operatives such that they will be able to carry out the full range of Recycling Supervisor duties Ensure that the team is working within Health & Safety procedures, standards and requirements. Recording turn backs and near misses and proactively discussing with the Supply Chain Quality Manager preventive action for the future Contribute to achieving daily and monthly production targets as part of a team Undertake manual handling tasks in a production environment Follow work instructions meticulously and complete daily job sheets WORKING HOURS: Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:15 PM Friday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM Overtime may be required What We Would Like You to Bring Excellent leadership experience Understanding of waste streams and waste hierarchies Ability to adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures Full compliance with Environmental Health & Safety directives (PPE, accident reporting, risk assessments, etc.) Commitment to completing quarterly ethics training modules Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely LI-DP1 Additional Information About Us, Our Culture & What We Can Offer You Established over 200 years ago, Chubb Fire & Security are a global business driven by keeping people and the world safe.
