Thatcham Research is looking for a strategic and hands on Data Delivery Manager to take ownership of technical delivery including data transformation, integration and application development.

Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire: Manage and develop a talented team of developers, data engineers, and DevOps professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Drive delivery: Organise and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
* Develop capability: Mentor team members, identify skills gaps, and implement training plans to build technical expertise and career progression.
* Ensure technical excellence: Uphold coding standards, conduct reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
* Strategic resource planning: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to maintain a high-performing team.
* Stakeholder engagement: Act as the key point of contact, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans.
* Champion best practice: Implement robust data governance and security standards across all solutions.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex data solutions.
* Supportive leadership skills with a track record of developing people and building capability.
* Hands‑on knowledge of Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) and DevOps practices.
* Expertise in data governance, security, and quality assurance.
* Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Working Hours
Standard hours: 8:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday, early finish on Friday 8:30 – 15:45. Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t suit you.
Working Model
Hybrid model – expected to work from the office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
