This role is ideal for someone who understands that efficient logistics directly impacts customer satisfaction, repeat business, and revenue growth. This role would be suitable for someone working as a transport co-ordinator or supervisor looking to step up into a managerial role. Key Responsibilities: Plan and allocate deliveries by area, weight, volume, and time constraints to maximise efficiency and profitability Select the most cost-effective vehicles and delivery methods, including pallet carriers and parcel services Liaise with drivers regarding routes, workloads, and flexible start/finish times Work closely with yard and warehouse teams to ensure smooth next-day deliveries Proactively resolve delivery issues and ensure customers are informed and satisfied Support the wider commercial team by ensuring deliveries meet agreed customer expectations and service levels Compliance & Fleet Management: Ensure all vehicles (over 3.5T) meet legal requirements, including PMI inspections, MOTs, tachograph calibration, and defect reporting Manage servicing, repairs, fuel supply, and contractor invoic...
