Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit two Band 3 Overseas Visitor Administrators to support the Overseas Visitor Officer.
The two administrator posts will both be contracted to working 28 hours per week.
The post holder will support all aspects of the "Guidance on implementing the overseas visitor charging regulations". The post holder will assist the Trust's Overseas Visitor Officer with the processes and procedures in place to identify patients not eligible for charge‑free care.
Providing a comprehensive, efficient and effective overseas visitor administration service, the post holder will liaise with patients, staff, and external organisations such as the UK Border Agency and Department of Health to identify and enable maximum income recovery for NHS chargeable services provided.
Main duties of the job
* Acquire and maintain a good understanding of Trust Policy and Department of Health "Guidance on implementing the overseas visitors hospital charging regulations".
* Utilise, maintain and manipulate information systems including hospital systems, Trust reports and spreadsheets for the collation and analysis of data supporting the identification of potential overseas patients.
* Adhere to Trust policy and procedure, work as a team responsible for ensuring all incoming work is prioritised and handled within appropriate timescales, seeking advice where necessary from the Overseas Officer and Department Manager.
* Accompany the Overseas Officer, where required, to interview patients on wards or clinic areas.
* Obtain and process confidential documentary evidence from patients to ascertain their eligibility to charge free, or chargeable treatment as per the DOH Overseas Visitor guidelines.
* Provide guidance across the organisation (Hospital and Community Services) to understand and implement processes supporting the responsibilities of the role in relation to Overseas Visitors charging regulations.
* Responding to queries and requests for information working within local policies, government guidance, referring more complex queries to the Overseas Visitors Officer.
* To undertake other duties requested by the Overseas Visitors Officer/Department Manager that may be reasonably requested to facilitate the smooth running of the Services ensuring confidentiality is always upheld.

Education & Qualifications
* Good standard of education - GCSE level A-C in English & Maths or qualified by/equivalent experience in a similar role.
* Previous Overseas Charging Regulation experience
Knowledge & Experience
* Strong Information Governance skills - confidentiality and discretion e.g., Data Protection
* Proven experience of following process and working to guidelines
* Knowledge of current legislation in Overseas/NHS Charging, data protection and confidentiality of personal information
* Experience working in an NHS Hospital
