Position: Heart Technical Case Worker Level 2
This role offers training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, a car parking permit, and payment of a professional fee after a successful probation period.
The HEART Technical Officer is responsible for inspecting properties in response to service requests related to Housing Renewal and Financial Assistance Policies, designing schemes of improvement, repair, and adaptation tailored to individual needs. The Level 2 role involves assisting with inspections and work related to schemes of adaptation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct complex inspections of dwellings.
2. Design schemes of improvement, repair, and adaptation.
3. Provide technical advice to team members.
4. Collaborate with architects, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop work schedules.
5. Assist clients with arrangements for completing works.
6. Coordinate with contractors to deliver adaptation schemes.
Training and Development:
* Assist in property inspections and provide housing advice based on legislation.
* Implement adaptation schemes tailored to client needs.
* Develop skills to produce work schedules, drawings, and specifications.
* Help clients arrange for works and assess their financial contribution.
Qualifications and Experience:
* BTEC HNC Level 4 Building or equivalent qualification.
* Willingness to obtain a Certificate in Housing Health and Safety Rating.
* Experience in housing inspections and surveys.
* Ability to identify risks and protect health and wellbeing.
* Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
* Excellent communication and numerical skills.
* Valid driving license and access to transport.
