GSL Education are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with classroom experience who are keen to support teaching and learning in a flexible role. About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of the class teacher. You will ensure that learning continues smoothly, maintain a positive classroom environment, and provide guidance and support to pupils throughout the day. Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring lessons run as planned. Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies. Provide support and encouragement to students during learning activities. Work across a range of subjects and year groups as required. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements: CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable but not mandatory). Previous experience working with young people in a school as a Cover Supervisor or similar. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A confident and adaptable approach to classroom supervision. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
