The Opportunity

As part of an expanding data and analytics function, you’ll join a forward-thinking organisation committed to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. This role has arisen due to ongoing growth and the need to enhance internal data capabilities to support the scale and complexity of the programme.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python and Airflow.
Manage and optimise SQL and Oracle databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
Lead end-to-end data and reporting projects, from requirements gathering through to delivery.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, accurate, and accessible data.
Uphold data quality, governance, and security best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data professionals.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Proven experience developing and deploying solutions using Power BI.
Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for data processing and automation.
Deep working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data architecture principles.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Must hold a valid British passport (due to project security requirements).
It’s great if you also have the following:
Experience working in a regulated, engineering, or energy environment.
Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data modelling techniques.
Previous experience mentoring or leading a small data team.
Additional language skills (French desirable).
The setting for the role
You’ll be based in Bristol, working on a hybrid model (three days from home per week – flexibility available).
