Full-Time | UK-Wide Role | Fibre Optic Connectivity | Competitive Salary + Benefits
We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join a leading technology business in Basingstoke, specialising in high-performance fibre optic connectivity solutions. This is a UK-wide role, covering both the UK and Ireland, with a 50/50 split between managing existing accounts and generating new business. The ideal candidate will have a proven “hunter” mentality, combined with strong account management skills.
The successful candidate will work across a range of products, including consumables, test equipment, and polishing equipment, delivering exceptional service while driving sales growth and expanding the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage existing accounts and develop new business across the UK and Ireland (50/50 split).
* Work closely with Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.
* Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, product launches, and messaging campaigns.
* Deliver internal and external product training, presentations, and updates on new developments.
* Provide sales reports, forecasts, and other materials as required.
* Travel across the UK and Ireland to meet customers and grow the customer base.
* Conduct market research and stay up to date with emerging fibre optic technologies.
Skills & Experience
* Proven sales experience, ideally within fibre optic connectivity or related technologies.
* Strong account management and new business development skills.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
* Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and Ireland.
