On behalf of Protiviti, a leading global business consulting firm, we are currently seeking an experienced interim consultant to support a strategic Front Office Surveillance and Communications initiative, with a particular focus on Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
This role will involve hands-on execution within the market surveillance team, specifically investigating and assessing Market Abuse alerts. The successful candidate will possess deep cross-asset class expertise, with a strong emphasis on Equities and Equity Derivatives.
Key requirements include:
Proven experience in applying MAR within surveillance frameworks
Strong working knowledge of SMARTS and Actimize platforms
Ability to review and enhance alert logic and assess the effectiveness of existing monitoring tools
Expertise in identifying and mitigating market abuse risks, including insider dealing, manipulation, and misuse of confidential information
Capacity to operate at pace, triaging alerts, conducting investigations, and determining escalation or closure
This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days per week. The engagement is expected to run through the end of 2025, with potential extension into 2026.
