SEN Teaching Assistant – Bedfordshire Primary School Location: Bedfordshire Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) Contract: Full-time / Term-time only / Temporary to permanent CPD Training Available About the Role We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs. Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities. Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning. Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals. Experience and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting is desirable. Qualification: A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
