Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pmHoliday: 28 days (including bank holidays)A privately owned, furniture manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join their team, with the opportunity to progress into a lead role.The company specialises in delivering exceptional bespoke, high-quality freestanding and fitted furniture to a diverse client base. Their portfolio includes heritage and conservation organisations, high-end residential projects, and collaborations with interior designers, architects, and construction companies. Projects range from individual bespoke pieces to large-scale architectural installations, spanning both contemporary and traditional styles.This is a key role within the workshop, supporting CNC operations while contributing to workflow improvements and production efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, prepare, and optimise CAM programmes for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinerySelect appropriate tooling, speeds, materials, and machining strategies to maximise efficiency and qualitySupport the planning and coordination of CNC activities alongside production teamsAssist estimating and project teams with CNC-related input on costs and production considerationsPrepare accurate works orders, drawings, and documentationRole RequirementsMinimum of 3 years' experience in CNC programming (3-axis and ideally 5-axis)Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similarStrong understanding of furniture and joinery constructionAbility to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawingsExperience working with flatbed CNC machinesGood planning, organisation, and communication skillsDesirable SkillsExperience with Biesse CNC machines and B Solid softwareKnowledge of timbers, veneers, manufactured boards, and substratesHands-on experience with woodworking machinery and fittingsStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
