We are currently recruiting for a PDI Technician to join a busy automotive workshop operation in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or semi-skilled technician to join a fast-paced environment preparing vehicles to the required standards prior to delivery.
The successful candidate will be working within an experienced workshop team carrying out inspections, safety checks, and vehicle preparation duties across a range of vehicles.
The Role:
As a PDI Technician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out pre-delivery inspections in line with company processes
2. Completing safety checks, levels checks, and bodywork inspections
3. Diagnosing and reporting any vehicle defects or issues found during inspection
4. Completing repair and inspection documentation accurately
5. Working closely with the workshop team to ensure vehicles are completed within deadlines
6. Maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency within a busy workshop environment
7. Ensuring all work is completed to company and customer standards
The Person:
8. Previous experience carrying out PDI inspections or vehicle preparation work
9. Qualified or semi-skilled technician background preferred
10. Good understanding of vehicle safety and inspection processes
11. Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
12. Able to work to deadlines and achieve productivity targets
13. Positive and flexible attitude towards work
14. Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points for minor offences)
