Job title: Territory Manager Midlands – Surgical


Job snapshot

The Territory Manager purpose in this role is to effectively increase sales volume and revenue through medical device product sales year on year whilst maintaining strong customer relations and increasing market share. They must proactively seek opportunities for other Healthcare 21 businesses within their territories whilst carrying out day to day business with each client ensuring that such opportunities are passed on to the appropriate Territory Manager, therefore ensuring that a strong relationship is formed with all other Healthcare 21 Group UK Territory Managers in that territory. Ensure that the act with integrity and ethics at all times and taking every opportunity to promote the organisation and its values and increase its standing within the market.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide procedural and product expertise to targeted customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) through field travel, meeting attendance, educational seminars, and/or case observations.
* Manage all aspects of surgical business in the field.
* Education of Surgeons, and Theatre personnel on procedures and product applications.
* Develop and support strong clinical relationships.
* Generate profitable territory sales in line with annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets through a combination of appropriate activities with existing and potential customers.
* Attain objectives designed to increase fiscal revenue, market share and profitability.
* To actively gather market intelligence on our own and competitor portfolio/activities.
* Develop procedural knowledge and expertise.
* Act as the company representative in the surgical field for internal and external customers.
* Develop business by creating educational programs to increase clinician’s safe and effective use of consumables, in collaboration with Marketing and Sales Training.
* Increase overall satisfaction levels at accounts through support of product and procedural applications.
* Continually increase industry knowledge through appropriate training opportunities.
* Maintain and develop Database of customers.
* Attend exhibitions and clinical meetings.


Key Requirements and Competencies

* Full driving licence.
* Previous experience in sales of surgical equipment.
* Professional skills – Sales and Territory Analysis, Budget Management.
* Must be a skilled negotiator and influencer with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Can cope effectively with pressure and setbacks and maintain commitment despite opposition.
* Ability to solicit orders from present and prospective customers for the assigned products.
* Can create a positive impact and convey confidence and credibility to others.
* Ability to work effectively and co‑operatively with others.
* Flexible and enthusiastic mindset.
* Establish and maintain good working and interpersonal relationships.
* Making decisions and taking responsibility.
* Ability to produce results, prioritising objectives and scheduling work to make best use of time and resources.
* Highly developed interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
* Possess a high degree of motivation.
* IT Skills (MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
