Radiology is a busy department providing X-ray, Mammography, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services. We provide 24/7 diagnostic services to the rest of the hospital using high-quality, up-to-date equipment.
Within our Trust, we provide imaging to symptomatic breast patients through clinic-led care. We work closely with the breast consultants to ensure continuity of care and aim to provide a one-stop diagnostic service for patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities to support and guide a team of staff with various skills and experience. The post holder will be an integral part of the Radiology team, working closely with Senior Radiographers to ensure smooth patient care, maintain radiographic standards, and promote good practice among Radiographers & Radiology students. Responsibilities include promoting professional development, adhering to radiographic and radiation safety standards, assisting in department management, and providing mammography coverage when required. Candidates must also be able to undertake general radiography.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Experience
* High competence in managing people
* Excellent knowledge of mammography

Qualifications
* DCR, MSc, or BSc Radiography
* At least 2 years post-registration experience
Desirable Qualifications
* PGC in mammography
* RPS Trained
