Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare. Shift details: 7am - 1pm / 1pm - 7pm. Join our award-winning team to support catering, food preparation, and maintain a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents.
Responsibilities
* Understand the principles of safe food handling to ensure all kitchen tasks meet high standards of hygiene.
* Contribute to team working, respond to colleagues, and action reasonable work instructions promptly.
* Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring timely replacement goods orders.
* Respect the dignity and individuality of each resident and interact appropriately with residents and their visitors.
About You / Our Ideal Candidate
* Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
* Be an efficient worker with a high level of sustained physical effort and able to handle a demanding workload.
* Demonstrate initiative and a positive, flexible attitude to teamwork.
* Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
