Goods In / Stores Operative (Aerospace)
We are recruiting for a Goods In / Stores Operative to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role supporting goods-in, stores, dispatch, and general site duties, with a strong focus on visual inspection of aerospace components.
This role would suit someone with previous aerospace or engineering experience, who understands quality standards and is comfortable supporting multiple departments as workload changes.
Key Responsibilities

Goods-in processing of incoming aerospace components and materials
*
Visual inspection of parts against drawings and paperwork
*
Checking for visual damage and conformity to specification
*
Booking items into the MRP system and storing in correct locations
*
Dispatching finished goods in line with customer and aerospace requirements
*
Supporting the materials store and production departments as required
*
Driving company van for local collections and deliveries
*
Operating forklift truck (training provided if required)
*
General housekeeping duties including keeping work areas clean and organised
*
Assisting with emptying oil and coolant from machines during quieter periods
Essential Experience
*
Previous experience in Goods In / Stores / Warehouse / Dispatch within an aerospace or engineering environment
*
Experience carrying out visual inspection of parts
*
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
*
Understanding or awareness of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
*
Full UK driving licence (essential)
*
Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Desirable (Not Essential)
*
Forklift licence
*
Experience using MRP systems
*
Background in aerospace manufacturing or precision engineering
Hours & Salary
*
£28,000 – £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
*
40 hours per week
*
Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
*
Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
*
Overtime available as required
