We are looking to recruit a Service Manager – Benefits and Financial Assessments to join our Finance and Procurement service on a permanent full-time basis.
About the role
The Service Manager has responsibility for the Benefits and Financial Assessment teams. On a day-to-day basis, they will be required to manage, control, deliver and continually improve the Benefits Service for Ceredigion ensuring customers receive the correct level of financial assistance and advice. To also provide clear and effective leadership ensuring that the vision of a cost effective, qualitative, responsive, accessible service is achieved and promote a culture that embraces and achieves both corporate and section objectives.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking to recruit an individual with a minimum of 5 years Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction Scheme experience of which 3 years should include management and supervision of staff. The ideal candidate will also have a knowledge of Financial Assessments for Residential and Non-Residential Care.
We welcome applications from non-Welsh speakers. All successful applicants requiring support to learn/improve their Welsh language skills will be offered funded lessons, during work time, to help reach the desired standard.
