Located within the Department of Government, the world-renowned Essex Summer School in Social Science Data Analysis brings global-leading teachers and researchers from around the world to Essex to teach cutting-edge tools for social science data analysis and advanced statistical methods to answer key social, political and economic questions.
Duties of the Role
The Essex Summer School Administrative Assistant will support the Summer School Directors, Coordinator and Administrator in all operational duties, helping ensure the delivery of a world-leading Summer School experience for all participants. Key duties include providing general administrative support, including day-to-day operational tasks such as assisting with the general enquiry inbox.
Qualifications and Skills required
Applicants will be educated to A-level standard or possess equivalent qualifications/experience.
You will possess experience of using, or evidence of the ability to learn to use successfully, bespoke database and other electronic systems and an appreciation of the role of IT systems in supporting business processes. In addition, you will have strong administrative experience, and have high customer care standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of IT literacy (proficient in Microsoft Office) will be required for the role.
