Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assembly Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our Assembly Department based within the Warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management processes. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient logistics, materials handling, and adherence to safety standards while optimising workflow.
Duties
* Supervise and manage assembly staff, ensuring effective team performance and productivity.
* Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
* Carry out and control the following processes:
* Check the daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) on SAP.
* Raise Production Orders based on the MRP.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices in materials handling.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
* Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
* To effectively and efficiently administer the day-to-day administration of the Assembly department.
* To deal effectively and efficiently with all enquiries and queries associated with Assembly.
* Brief staff daily on operational targets and achievements.
* Liaise with the sales departments regarding schedules and the production of product.
* Escalate issues to the Warehouse Manager / Deputy Warehouse Manager within an appropriate time frame.
Experience
* Proven experience in a assembly supervisory role or similar position is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting build issues.
