This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in our Covent Garden office 3 days per week.
As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.
Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.
What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!
Joining us as a Public Affairs & Policy Advisor
You will produce clear, concise briefings on issues impacting CityFibre’s success, helping to secure government support. You'll coordinate cross-departmental efforts to engage local MPs and play a key role in planning and delivering parliamentary events with the wider team.
You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with MPs, Lords, Select Committees, and civil servants
* Lead CityFibre’s engagement with APPGs and trade associations, shaping industry position
* Leading political and parliamentary monitoring, stakeholder mapping and horizon-scanning, pro-actively identifying opportunities and risks
* Provide timely policy advice and strategic updates to senior leadership
What you’ll bring to the role
You will have a strong background in Public Affairs, either from an agency or in-house role, with hands-on experience supporting MPs or Lords. You’ll also have:
* Excellent understanding of Parliament, Whitehall, devolved governments, and politics in general
* Experience in political or public affairs roles, ideally with direct MP engagement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to present complex issues clearly
