Senior Occupational Therapist — Band 6
Permanent contract. Thorndon Ward, Brentwood Community Hospital.
Role focus
We are looking for an experienced B5 Occupational Therapist aiming to progress to a substantive B6 Senior OT role within a diverse and dynamic team. Alternatively, a B6 OT seeking to work with an established therapy team with progression aspirations will find a strong opportunity here on Thorndon Ward, Brentwood Community Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Thorndon Ward is a 25-bed inpatient ward with garden views, a canteen and parking. The ward is situated in a pleasant local community with good transport links. We provide rehabilitation to older adults to improve functional skills in activities of daily living and promote independence.

Starting with NELFT
New starters are welcomed and inducted into the Trust. Induction occurs on the first Monday of each month and includes up to two weeks of mandatory and systems training, equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet the executive team and senior managers. Induction is held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement – Fringe
This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary, with a minimum of £1,303 and maximum £2,198 per annum (pro rata for part time).

We are seeking a progressive and innovative OT who makes sound clinical decisions, demonstrates effective clinical reasoning, and works as part of an inpatient multidisciplinary team.
