We’re working with SEN schools and Pupil Referral Units across Middlesbrough looking for teachers who can create calm, consistent, and engaging learning environments for pupils who need a different approach.

What’s the role?
You’ll be leading learning in a specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping them build confidence, routine, and progress at their own pace.
Your day might include:
* Teaching pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Autism or PMLD
* Adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
* Managing behaviour with a calm, consistent approach
* Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

What you’ll need
* QTS or a recognised SEN teaching qualification
* Experience teaching in a SEN school or PRU setting
* Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours
* A calm, resilient, and adaptable teaching style
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
* References ready for clearance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
