Job Description
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will have responsibility for your store and team within The Frasers Group. You will achieve this by building a team who will train, coach, and progress. You will support business initiatives and ensure these are met with positivity and pace, whilst you control and deliver across store operations, customer service, budget control, people, and product. Furthermore, you will take ownership of key areas and share responsibility with your team to be accountable for the store.
Key Result Areas and Competencies:
1. Operations:
o Promote all store operations and deliver to expectations on all KPIs.
o Support workload planning to ensure a productive and efficient team.
o Make confident decisions and delegate effectively.
o Support compliance with processes and procedures while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both the team and customers.
o Assist with training and coaching the team to best practice.
o Use business communication tools to monitor task completion and meet deadlines.
2. Controls:
o Use reports to ensure wage controls are met weekly, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
o Plan store schedules in line with trading patterns and business expectations.
o Assist with payroll processing compliance and problem-solving.
o Support store daily structure to meet compliance, customer service, and security standards.
o Be accountable for controlling wages.
3. Sales:
o Understand business and customer expectations and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer experiences.
o Understand product features and benefits and support training to maximize sales opportunities.
o Track KPI targets and support the team in meeting these, communicating effectively to motivate.
o Maintain strong commercial awareness of the retail industry, competitors, and customers.
o Use reports to analyze and support sales and profitability of key products.
o Interpret merchandising guidelines for the sales floor with efficiency and commerciality.
4. Development:
o Identify internal talent and support performance management to drive performance.
o Address performance issues professionally.
o Engage in personal development and respond to feedback constructively.
o Promote Frasers Group core values and coach the team accordingly.
5. Leadership and Management:
o Inspire the team and serve as a role model.
o Support coaching and motivation to achieve success.
o Build relationships within the team to align efforts towards common goals.
Qualifications
The requirements
* At least 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
* Background in premium fashion is beneficial.
* Ability to positively impact sales, payroll, and stock loss results.
* Proven success in developing talented individuals.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Commitment to supporting the area manager in achieving high store standards and customer service.
