Position Overview
The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), based at Southampton General Hospital, manages a growing portfolio of multi‑centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. Due to new grant awards we have a vacancy for a Trial Manager to join the existing team to develop and manage one or more trials.
Location
Hybrid – The successful candidate must work in the office at Southampton at least 60% of contracted hours.
Salary
Level 4.
Employment Details
Full Time – Fixed Term for 24 months (part time may be considered at 0.8 FTE). The post is offered on a two‑year fixed‑term contract with the possibility of an extension.
Qualifications
* Significant experience of clinical trials in the NHS or the commercial health research sector.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Good understanding and knowledge of GCP and clinical trial regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage one or more clinical trials as part of the existing team.
