OverviewA leading Devon law firm is expanding its specialist Court of Protection and Private Client team and is now recruiting a Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive for its Plymouth office. This is a newly prioritised hire offering hybrid working, strong support, and clear progression.

The Role – Court of Protection / Mental Capacity LawYou will join a well-established specialist team handling a varied and rewarding caseload, including:
* Court of Protection matters under the Mental Capacity Act
* Supporting vulnerable adults, children, and elderly clients
* Managing financial affairs, deputyships, and trustee matters
* Liaising with families, care providers, and professionals
* Visiting clients in care settings and at home where required
* Working closely with financial advisers on long-term planning
Candidate Profile
* Solicitor or Legal Executive (including NQ considered)
* Court of Protection experience beneficial but not essential
* Background in private client, family law, or litigation welcomed
* Strong interest in Mental Capacity / vulnerable client work
* Excellent communication and client care skills
