About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly site team. Your role will help ensure our school remains a hygienic, safe and positive environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
What you will be doing
As a valued member of our cleaning team, you will:
1. Maintain high standards of cleanliness across your designated area
2. Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing
3. Empty bins and manage waste responsibly, including recycling
4. Clean and restock toilet areas
5. Complete periodicDeep Cleans, including skirting boards, walls and internal glass
6. Use cleaning materials safely and economically, following COSHH and manufacturer guidelines
7. Report any maintenance or safety issues to your Line Manager
8. Ensure windows, doors and lights are secured appropriately after cleaning
You’ll be responsible for your own area and expected to meet the cleaning frequencies and standards set by the school.
What you will bring
9. GCSE or equivalent is required
10. Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail
11. Understands the importance of hygiene and safety
12. Can work independently and as part of a team
13. Is reliable, punctual and professional
14. Follows procedures and uses cleaning materials safely
Experience in a cleaning role is helpful but not essential — a positive attitude matters most
