This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio, with a strong blend of compliance and advisory work, while benefiting from a flexible working environment. With an existing Tax Manager and junior team member in place, this role is ideally suited to someone ready to operate at a senior level, bridging the gap and playing a pivotal role in client delivery and team support. The Role: Mixed Tax with Client Ownership This position offers a balanced workload across personal and corporate tax, with increasing involvement in advisory projects. Key Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of clients across personal and corporate tax Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns Preparation and review of corporation tax computations Supporting and leading on tax advisory assignments Acting as a key point of contact for client queries Liaising with HMRC and handling complex enquiries Ensuring full compliance with UK tax legislation and deadlines Supporting and mentoring junior team members What We’re Looking For We are keen to speak with candidates who meet the following criteria: 3–6 years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential) Proven experience in mixed tax (personal and corporate) ATT qualified and/or ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified Strong working knowledge of UK tax compliance and advisory Experience using tax software (e.g. IRIS, CCH) and cloud accounting tools (e.g. Xero, Sage) Confident in managing client relationships and handling complex queries Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Why Join This Firm?
