Job Summary
Permanent – Part Time – 22.50 hours per week. We are recruiting for a qualified, BACP‑accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor to join our supportive Talking Therapies team in West Lancashire. The role involves one‑to‑one, telephone and online therapy as well as group work and can be delivered on a hybrid basis.
You will work with diverse clients, including different cultural backgrounds and ages, and may use interpreters when necessary. We value equal opportunities, a flexible working culture and provide regular supervision along with professional development opportunities.
Main Duties
* Delivering one‑to‑one Talking Therapies (Counselling, IPT, CTfD) within our service, including telephone, remote and online therapy.
* Working with a wide range of presenting problems and significant levels of distress.
* Providing support and guidance to clients from different cultural backgrounds and ages.
* Participating in team meetings, supervision and training events.
* Contributing to the development of service KPIs and national and local Talking Therapies requirements.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* A minimum of a Level 4 Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling
* A BACP Accredited Diploma and full Accreditation with the BACP
* A Bachelor’s degree and/or professional training in a health practitioner field (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy)
Essential Experience
* Experience delivering an NHS‑approved relational therapy (Counselling, IPT, CTfD) within a Talking Therapies service
* Evidence of recent regular supervised practice
* In‑depth knowledge of working with a diverse client group and significant levels of distress
* Experience delivering telephone, remote and online therapy
Essential Knowledge
* Extensive knowledge of Talking Therapies national and local service requirements and ability to develop the service to meet these requirements
* Detailed understanding of key performance indicators in Talking Therapies services and how they relate to clinical practice
* High‑level knowledge of the theory and practice of one or more NHS Talking Therapies – recognised Psychological therapies
* In‑depth knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies model with willingness to develop the service clinically to meet KPIs
